As a child of the last century, Harriet knew she wanted to be an artist and pursued her passion over the course of her life right up until her death at the age of 95 in 2021. She earned a Master of Arts, taught school, visited museums around the world, read voraciously and painted from her heart. As a Sarasota local, Harriet’s works reflect the colors and moods of her beloved Gulf Coast and were always intended to express herself, not to sell. Now her work can now be found in galleries, homes of collectors and at Pansy Bayou Studio.
